This project is to integrate novel algorithmic techniques for the interrogative visualization of scalar, vector and tensor field data. This integration will be accomplished by encapsulating the algorithms in an object oriented scripting language, such as Python, making them platform and operating system independent. The core visualization techniques range from accellerated isocontouring, efficient computation and display of molecular surfaces, scalar and vector topology, and hypervolume visualization. This multiplicity of visualization algorithms responds to requirements emerging from NPACI application areas in the sciences and engineering.
